Aitor Alava, Natixis Managing Director and Head of Global Infrastructure & Projects Latin America, and Ben Koehler, Executive Director of Infrastructure Finance Americas, co-authored a feature on the outlook for solar DG growth in Chile in Project Finance International’s 2021 Yearbook.

As discussed in the article, industry projections indicate that Distributed Generation (DG) will continue to grow at double-digit rates and account for approximately 10% of total installed electricity generation capacity by 2030.

Alava and Koehler explain how the growth of DG has the potential to mitigate transmission bottlenecks, efficiently supply industry and residences, and serve last-mile demand in many countries throughout Latin America.
