Jean-François Lequoy

CEO of Natixis Assurances

Jean-François Lequoy is CEO of Natixis Assurances and a member of the Natixis Senior Management Committee.

He has over 30 years' experience in the insurance sector, having started his career in 1986 as an Insurance Commissioner in the department of the French Ministry of Finance. In 1991, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Insurance department of Compagnie de Suez. Between 1994 and 1998, he served as Managing Director at the insurance broker J&H Marsh & Mc Lennan within Faugère & Jutheau, and then Cecar & Jutheau. From 1998 to 2001 he was Director and General Manager of La Mondiale Partenaire (formerly known as La Hénin Vie).

Jean-François Lequoy joined AGF (Allianz Group) in 2001 as Chief Financial Officer and became a member of the Executive Committee in 2003. In 2004, he was appointed Deputy CEO in charge of Accounting, Tax, Risk Management and Control, Investments and Corporate Finance. From 2006 to 2008, he headed the Life and Financial Services division and then the Personal Insurance and Financial Services division of AGF France. From 2008 to 2014, he held the position of General Director of Fédération Française des Sociétés d’Assurances. He joined Natixis in his current role in 2014.

Jean-François Lequoy graduated from École Polytechnique (Insurance Control), ENSAE (École Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Économique) and Institut des Actuaires.
